Just #ordered my first #pizza from #pizzahut after about a year and a half of not eating any #fastfood at all. This will be my last treat for the next 6 months as I transition from the #keto #diet over towards an #exercise focussed #lifestyle . I will write a #coffeespace #article on this, but it will entail #running , #walking , #cycling and #weightlifting !
Had my first #intentional #carbs today in #preparation for #christmas and winding down the #keto #diet ... It was some #mixed #vegetables , namely some #peas , #carrots , #beans and #sweetcorn - about 100g which is some 7g of #carbohydrates . I'm so far averaging between 30-80g carbs a day, so getting close now. Once I get to 100g I will look at implementing #calorie #reduction , which will be high #protein and low #calories ...

Currently trying #aeroplanejelly for the #keto #diet - it has next to nothing in it and is easy to prepare. It's currently not set after 4 hours or so, so some #experiments maybe be required to get this right. Apparently it is possible #overcook , #undercook , set for too less a time, #overprocess , too much #water , too little water, etc, etc. Making #jelly isn't nearly as bloody easy as I would have hoped!
Just #ran four back to back 12.5 minute #miles ! And that was with a #sprintfinish - I still had #energy in the tank and had an instant #recovery ! Not bad for somebody running on the #keto #diet !

Alright, I found out tonight I can #run a 12 minute #mile after being on the #keto #diet for 9 months! Didn't quite manage the whole two miles I planned for, but I have something to work up to anyway. I've at least got the first paced mile under my belt now. I will leave a day for recovery and try again! Now for some #lowcarb #beer and to watch an #anime before #sleep !

And this is one of the #major #benefits of the #keto #diet is that most #food is from primary sources, a little like the #paleo diet but less extreme. We should be *very* careful about the push towards #meat #substitutes as they sneak #sugar and #carbohydrates in through the backdoor.
