It leverages something I thought about all of the time, which is #modules ... #pine made a #mistake not doing this with their #product line. It may be worth considering this in the future for the #linuxpda #project !
Looks like #pine 's #pinephone now has a #keyboard https://www.pine64.org/2021/12/31/happy-.. This would now make the #device a #compelling #linuxpda - something I wish I now owned in retrospect given my own #phone #battery #failed and the #pinetab tried to kill itself.
Very interesting, it appears that #pine 's #pinesoquartz could be a #dropin #replacement for #raspberrypi 's CM4 #board that is currently seriously #outofstock https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2021/p.. It's not perfect but could be a #workaround - hopefully in the future the #software even gets good enough for a complete and #powerful replacement #alternative !

Just watching a #review of the #jingpad #linux #tablet running #jingos - the #hardware actually materialized and it seems to be pretty okay. The #software apparently needs some work - but for the most part it seems like a solid little device. Definitely much better than #pine 's #pinetab which is *painfully* #slow . I'm hoping they might release a #pinetabpro so I can replace the internal board on mine with something better, but it might be #incompatible ...
