Pretty interesting. The #cpu #speculative #computing that #intel and #amd had *massive* #security #issues with recently seems to be #redundant with some better #designed #cpu #architecture that better handles some #edgecases https://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/academic/c.. This could be a way forward for both #companies , and potentially something for #arm to look at!

#pine 's push for the #rockchip #cpu appear to be paying off, the #allwinner A64 sucks. Great to see the #pinetime gets #encryption for #communications ! This means it can be #trusted to do more important tasks. Also having a #shared #filesystem is massively cool! It's really a #shame that the #progress on the #pinecube has been so slow. No #update on a the #pinetab - I guess they #forgot they even have it as a #product / #project ? Anyway, looking forward to 2022!
