Just #installed #watchmate for #pinetime 's #infinitime #os and it seems to work great: https://gitlab.com/azymohliad/watchmate Currently #flashing the latest #firmware via it, #fingerscrossed it doesn't brick it!
Finally got around to #flashing my #pinetime with #infinitime 1.9.0: https://github.com/InfiniTimeOrg/InfiniT.. Wish me luck!
#pine have #published a new #update on their #blog - this time we see some great #news from the #pinetime https://www.pine64.org/2022/02/15/februa.. That #terminal #interface is really quite nice! The #lvgl #simulation on the other hand... Could be game changing! https://github.com/InfiniTimeOrg/InfiniT..
#pine 's #pindio #stack as written about by #jf is pretty exciting! https://codingfield.com/blog/2021-12/fir.. Great to hear that it could make the basis for a new #pinetime ! It could even be possible it runs some for of *very small* #linux / #unix #kernel ! It has #lora , #gps , #wifi , #bluetooth , #memory , #heartrate #sensor , #compass , #usb - this little thing is simple insanely well equipped!

Great to see the #pinetime gets #encryption for #communications ! This means it can be #trusted to do more important tasks. Also having a #shared #filesystem is massively cool! It's really a #shame that the #progress on the #pinecube has been so slow. No #update on a the #pinetab - I guess they #forgot they even have it as a #product / #project ? Anyway, looking forward to 2022!Regarding #pine 's latest #update https://www.pine64.org/2021/12/15/decemb.. For the #pinephone #modem #malware I wonder whether they couldn't pick up an active #attack by having a #markovmodel pick up on known #attack #sequences as a #temporary #workaround ... Tbe #pinedio looks interesting, even in the same #formfactor as the M5 #stack I #purchased recently. Maybe I will be able to #port my #software #efforts when it comes around! It's a shame it so far only supports #lora ...
Looks like there could be a #competitor to #pine 's #pinetime https://hackaday.com/2021/10/05/hackable.. Seems like this tiny #smart #watch runs on #js - seems like a nice little #opensource #device ! Double the #price of a #pinetime though: https://hackaday.com/2021/10/05/hackable..

This time it addresses an old but pressing #bluetooth #ble #bug #fix https://github.com/JF002/InfiniTime/rele.. I am really looking forward to this one, it has caused no end of issues!Awesome, #pine 's #pinetime has a new #infinitime #update ! https://github.com/JF002/InfiniTime/rele.. It appears we now get #alarms , #time #recovery after #reset , and #bluetooth #connection #improvements ! Very cool stuff! I will update shortly!

Another month, another #pine update! https://www.pine64.org/2021/08/15/introd.. They have released the #pinenote which looks like an awesome #alternative to the #remarkable - it's also insanely #powerful too. I *really* want one, but most definitely cannot afford it at $400. I'm currently checking out #fitotrack for the #pinetime - an #opensource #fitness #app https://codeberg.org/jannis/FitoTrack Other than that, there is awesome progress on the #pinephone and #pinedio too!
Okay, I didn't expect to see a #pinetime running a #video of #badapple https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?.. This is a seriously cool application! What an awesome piece of work!
This is actually an interesting point being made - if the thing you purchase is too #valuable - you become afraid to make real use of it: https://elazzabi.com/2021/07/24/the-beau.. I also have a #cheap #smartwatch from #pine called the #pinetime - it's in the price range that if it gets damaged, I'll just buy another. It has already outlast every other smart watch I ever had and I get a ridiculous amount of use out of it, even convincing other people they would like one.
Hoping to flash my #pinetime in a minute with the new #update https://github.com/JF002/InfiniTime/rele.. Should offer some nice new #features ... Will update based on my experience!
This new #watchy device has the features I want from the #pinetime - but it's $60 *before* shipping and I *really* need to stop spending money: https://www.crowdsupply.com/sqfmi/watchy
Currently installing the latest #infinitime firmware version 1.2.0: https://github.com/JF002/InfiniTime/rele.. Seems like the #pinetime will start supporting more than one hardware revision due to the #chipshortage that is ongoing.
