I agree with the use of #forums rather than #message #services https://www.mooreds.com/wordpress/archiv.. I look at something like #pine 's #forum building up quite the #knowledgebase during these days. I always thought that what we are missing is a #hybrid #model - something more towards #reddit 's #ui but with the ability to instantly #reply ... Not entirely sure, more thought required!
