We may have just found the #motherboard for the #linuxpda https://www.pine64.org/2022/10/15/octobe.. The 0x64 is a pretty cool #pine 64 #lowend #sbc for less than $10 . Also it's great to see the #pinephone and #pinephonepro become #available again, I might be looking to pick one up soon!
Pretty cool to see more #lowerpower #linux #sbc #devices https://hackaday.com/2022/06/05/new-part.. Definitely a cool space!
The #quartz 64 and #soquartz #sbc 's by #pine 64 are really interesting, offering larger amounts of #ram , #cpu , #pice , #usb 3.0 and many other goodies: https://www.pine64.org/2022/05/31/may-up.. The one interesting thing I would like to see is the new #pinetime #update and the #pinesound #pinebuds - these projects are really cool.
Nice #pine #update https://www.pine64.org/2022/03/15/march-.. Looking forward to getting a #quartz #sbc #board ! And I really #regret picking the #pinetab over the #pinephone ... #infinisim is looking like an #epic #project !
Interesting new #riscv based #linux #sbc called #licheerv from #sipeed https://hackaday.com/2022/01/06/new-part.. It leverages something I thought about all of the time, which is #modules ... #pine made a #mistake not doing this with their #product line. It may be worth considering this in the future for the #linuxpda #project !
Very cool #lowend #linux #sbc capable of playing #spotify and other #music - #designed and #builtfromscratch ! https://hackaday.com/2021/09/22/building.. Very impressive!
Interesting new #riscv #sbc offering by #sifive https://www.sifive.com/boards/hifive-unm.. Quite a capable little #desktop board - but is $650+! Hopefully that price point comes down in the future for a *development* board (i.e. not even fully working).
The #wifiwart project is really quite interesting: https://hackaday.com/2021/07/26/wifiwart.. Somebody is designing and building a #linux #embedded system from scratch, which is nothing short of a proper #sbc ! It's an absolutely insane undertaking and it's impressive they are seeing results so quickly.
I'm in the market for a new #laptop - but I now want a #dailydriver that is #upgradeable , #opensource and #repairable ... I've had a look at what's out there and I'm not that impressed. I essentially want an #sbc in a box with a #battery , #display and #keyboard - ideally with a rigid chassis. I've got no idea what to do though...
Very cool project to build a #phonecharger with a #linux device inside: https://hackaday.com/2021/07/03/wifiwart.. I really wish I had the skills required to build my own Linux #sbc !
