I'm glad #nasa is taking the #asteroid / #meteor #threat seriously: https://hackaday.com/2021/09/10/nasa-are.. Just like a #global #pandemic - it's not a problem until it suddenly is. The problem is in two parts - first you must #detect it (which is only possible in some directions, sizes and velocities) and then you must do something about it. These are seriously open problems we don't yet have solutions for.
