I'm not sure why, but #hackaday is getting *alot* of #lgbt #content recently: https://hackaday.com/2022/10/16/automati.. This is just a #servo on a #timer , now it is apparently a #frontpage #article because it contains the #lgbt #flag of #allegiance . Very weird. I hope it goes back to actually being about #hacks , and not about #ideology .

Interesting #article on #hackaday about the #food #safety of 3D #printed #models https://hackaday.com/2022/09/05/food-saf.. Turns out that they are pretty close to #medical #grade ! I've always thought that their rating could be greatly #improved with some after-care of the #models anyway. The only real #concern is #micro #plastics and #leaking #chemicals into the #food .

Kind of #annoying , this #project on #hackaday got #featured simply for being #trans , rather than being a #noteworthy #hack https://hackaday.com/2022/09/03/pretty-p.. As I #commented , the #wiring is #dangerous and could cause a #short . It could quite literally #burn down their #office ...

Nice little #embedded #image #format named #pif https://hackaday.com/2022/05/08/creating.. As one of the #hackaday #comments suggests, #lvgl could benefit from using the format over #png !

Okay, this #matrix #digitalrain #effect is pretty cool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6gGK4L4.. There is some #documentation and #links over on #hackaday detailing how insanely simple this #hack is to pull off! https://hackaday.com/2021/11/17/arduino-.. Looks like it can be easily done on an #esp 8266 or ESP32 device!

Just a nice little #hackaday #article on a #solo #product being #developed for a #niche https://hackaday.com/2021/11/02/hardware.. One of these days!

Cool #idea to directly 3D #print onto a #tshirt - but as people point out in the #hackaday #comments - it would be far better to create a #stencil https://hackaday.com/2021/10/15/3d-print.. Still, I like the thinking and with the right #filament it really could have legs. Imagine one with a dye impregnated into it for example!

Interesting #discussion on #hackaday about the #plausibility of #carbon #sequestration https://hackaday.com/2021/10/15/carbon-s.. A number of people have pointed out now that these appear to be mostly #opportunistic #services promising future #improvements ...

Very interesting #discussion #article on #hackaday about a coming #copper #shortage and some potential #solutions to the #problem https://hackaday.com/2021/09/30/the-comi.. As I understand, unless something changes *fast* - the #price of #copper will only increase in the near #future ...

I might try to catch this #hackaday #chat on #robot #dogs - it could be *very* interesting: https://hackaday.com/2021/09/27/robot-do.. This is something I've wanted to build for a while "when I have some time" (a phrase all too common during this #phd ).

Great #article on #hackaday about #pine 's #pinephone and reasonable #expectations https://hackaday.com/2021/09/02/pining-f.. What's interesting about this is that just this morning I was reading on the #forum about some #unreasonable expectations some how with the #hardware and #software https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?.. My biggest concern for Pine64 was actually that they do not manage expectations so well. I see the same mistake happening with the #pinenote !

Definitely intend to follow this #hackaday #course on the #pipico https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Duel_Oaa.. Will be very interesting to learn about the #compile process, #interupts , #arm #assembly , #gdb and #pio https://hackaday.io/course/178733-raspbe.. Looking forward to following it.

Cool little #robot #quadruped featured on #hackaday https://hackaday.com/2021/07/26/little-q.. I've had ideas for building something larger for quite a while now. I am quite impressed with the #inversekinematics the robot has. It's a shame the #servos are unreliable - but the idea certainly has legs (pun intended). Robot #dogs rule!

#hackaday give a nice overview of #guassianblur https://hackaday.com/2021/07/21/what-exa.. In general, #kernels are an excellent way of processing #spatial information and #data ... The entire speed-up a #cnn offers comes from #kernel processing.

Looks like #johnmcafee got the #epstein treatment in #spain - after a his #extradition went out in the #us https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-57.. Very weird circumstance for a very #rich man who is 75 years old and could likely buy his way out of trouble...
#hackaday have done a great tribute to #johnmcafee https://hackaday.com/2021/06/23/john-mca.. Rather ironically, it was the #exif data of a photo posted online by a #journalist that screwed him over. Also in 2020 John McAfee also said that encase of his #epstein #suicide - that he is in good spirits: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/joh..

Big ouch. #adafruit interviewed #siemens about their #acquisition of #supplyframe , #hackaday and #tindie https://blog.adafruit.com/2021/06/18/ada.. What they say is not so crazy, it's what they *don't* say that is concerning. Checkout the parts that say "Siemens did not respond to this question." - damn!
