There's something kind of sick about this - years ago we were at a #robocup #competition in #iran and the winning #team got offered a #tour of the #nuclear #facility as part of a #recruitment https://futurism.com/the-byte/nyt-israel.. If any of them had taken the #offer - this could have been them. Iran's #government are for sure #temperamental but is this really how we want to deal with them? I feel like #trump had a better method...

Today I want to finish outstanding #lotuseaters #podcasts , apply for my #passport #renewal , finish some #coffeespace #articles , plan and work on my #phd #journal , finish an #anime I'm watching and start on watching the new season of #lucifer . A lot of things, but should be possible. It's a shame the #library isn't yet open...
Oh, I also need to make some changes to a #robocup #journal , #shower , #run - and if I have time I want to push some changes to #oakwm to #github ... I'm probably over #optimistic about what a person can achieve in one day.

Been on a roll these last few days with #coffeespace articles, for some reason I got some more of my #deeper #thinking back recently. Looking forward to applying it to other areas, including the #phd and #robocup ... I suspect this is one of the more long term benefits of the #keto #diet !

Okay, #programmatic #video #editing is very cool: https://github.com/Zulko/moviepy This could be a way to produce videos for #robocup more reliably and quickly... I think I will check this out later!

This #rma work seems a lot similar to an idea I had for #robocup #humanoid walking, where you essentially have a base algorithm and them some #dynamic #adaptation algorithm: https://ashish-kmr.github.io/rma-legged-.. I still don't believe this is even close to the full potential of the method, and I think there are also some tricks being missed here... About to give the paper a quick read: https://ashish-kmr.github.io/rma-legged-..

#aluminium extrusions are something I've wanted to take a look at for a while, especially for #humanoid limbs: https://hackaday.com/2021/05/25/getting-.. There could be some exciting future opportunities for low-cost, low-weight #robots for the #robocup project.
