The #film #thedevilconspiracy is a mixed bag. It has some *really* nice parts, but equally it doesn't feel like a $5 #million #dollar #movie at all. The #idea for the #story is not too bad, I would have leaned even further into the #horror of it, in this case the #devil wasn't nearly bad enough.
I really love the #film #greenland . For an #apocalypse #movie , it is #brutal and #realist . I fear that it is actually how such an #event would go down.
The #film #margincall was pretty good, really good #movie about the 2008 #financial #crisis . I suppose something similar is happening as I type this...

#thekingsman #film (2021) is an interesting #movie - but the #evil #character was entirely #predictable and they really screw with #historic #events when there was no need to. Still, worth a watch though.

The Green Knight #movie #resonated with me, despite being relatively "meaningless" (as some I watched it with concluded).
The new #venom #movie was a little bit of a let-down - it didn't really explore anything new. It was still good, but it was timid - it could have pushed for more. I feel like the concept of Venom could be pushed much further, especially the idea of one being feeding off of another.

The new #dune #movie was #visually really well put together, but #story wise was awful. It compresses two/three movies into one, missing a bunch of *really* important details that make it actually make sense. Probably the worst #sin is the loss of the #colonialism #context the #original Dune series had. There's just no #investment , no #loyalty . The #betrayals don't make sense because we never know of a deep understanding.

Having to rewatch the #nottinghill #film after it came up recently in a #podcast I was listening to, which was on my #backlog to watch after some housemates watched it without me. A great #movie so far, looking forward to finishing it whilst I work.
I can't believe the #film #oblivion is almost 8 years old now - still a great film starring #tomcruise ... The graphics still hold up nicely, the film's premise is great and it's generally a really great #movie - not something some of the crap coming out during the #covid #pandemic will be able to say.
