Unfortunately I wasn't able to make any #improvements on existing #solutions - but it was a good #rabbithole nevertheless!
The new #dune #movie was #visually really well put together, but #story wise was awful. It compresses two/three movies into one, missing a bunch of *really* important details that make it actually make sense. Probably the worst #sin is the loss of the #colonialism #context the #original Dune series had. There's just no #investment , no #loyalty . The #betrayals don't make sense because we never know of a deep understanding.
