Pretty insane that #thousands of #scientists #publish a #paper every five days: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-0.. *That would be 73 #papers a year!* Apparently they are reaching this level of #productivity by working in large #team or managing lots of people. Still, if you did nothing but read papers, this would be quite a lot of work!
I have a somewhat #secret #project I want to #publish for the #benefit of others, but I do not want to attach it to my name. It's not #illegal , but it isn't something that helps your #career , despite being for the greater good. I've done my #research and there is *nothing* out there like this. I'm wondering how I would go about #publishing such #information .
If think #coffeespace #articles need to be easier to #write ... I'm thinking they need a #markdown #editor along with a #template that can all be operated from the #browser - the reason being that I could write a #publish articles from any #device ... It all requires some thinking though, I am not sure it can be achieved easily...
I saw my old #university put out a #callforpapers for #philosophy - and I am super #tempted to #publish something to #refute #ai #scare ... Current #papers in the field of #ai are typically written by people who do not #understand what AI actually is or isn't: https://philpapers.org/browse/philosophy.. Perhaps heavily #discuss this #paper https://uhra.herts.ac.uk/bitstream/handl..
Ouch, apparently the #newyorktimes simply #refused to #publish a #news #article simply because it didn't paint the #blm #activists in a positive light, as they #rioted and #burned everything down in #kenosha #us https://www.zerohedge.com/political/new-.. They waited until a week after the 2020 #us #president #election to publish the #article ... This is #politics at its worst.

Perhaps a weekly #collection and #commenting on of interesting links could be cool? I think I would adapt it to become multiple pages and perhaps just #publish a #web version this time to keep it simple... I'm really liking how #coffeespace is looking these days so I'm not so concerned.I like the idea of a " #housecleaning " #daily / #weekly post: https://hund.tty1.se/2021/09/28/housecle.. A #collection of the best links for example. After the end of this month I will consider to begin collecting such a list.
I'll add this to the #backlog - I really like the idea of having an official #issn for stuff #publish over on #coffeespace ! https://shkspr.mobi/blog/2021/09/how-to-.. It'll take me a little while to get to though!
#kierstarmer is set to #publish a 14k word #essay to win back #labour #supporters https://www.lotuseaters.com/keir-starmer.. The #timing is very good, but their #hardcore #supporters want #magicgrandpa #corbyn back...
The latest article I'm working on for #coffeespace is so long that even formatting it has become a *massive* undertaking in terms of time. It's an article about the #eu and the #farright - I hope to be able to #publish it some time today.
Interesting idea by #lukesmith to #publish old #books that are no longer in print: https://lukesmith.xyz/articles/the-class.. Some of the #religious books I really have no interest in, but the works by #philosophers could be worth keeping an eye on! Specifically this book could be of interest: https://lindypress.net/book?pk=2
When it comes to #health - I believe that we should treat it all as #false until there is #evidence to suggest otherwise: https://blogs.bmj.com/bmj/2021/07/05/tim.. There are literal #industries now to #publish #fake #data in #journals - with Journals popping up for exactly this reason.
