In a strange twist, it might be #ubuntu that end up making a #linux #desktop for #mobile #phones https://tuxphones.com/gnome-shell-43-lin.. In all honesty it would be shite though, the #gnome #js #engine is crap.

#fuck #ubuntu - the *same* #gnome #js (yes this shit uses #javascript !) #bug from *years* ago... #infinite #logging to the #disk until it #crashes or #fills it... It shouldn't be this tough to #decorate #xserver #windows ! These same people say that #wayland is the future when they can't figure out how to #paint a #border without it losing its shit.

Interesting, #popos may soon switch to using #kde instead of #gnome - perhaps a general switch away from #ubuntu in general: https://old.reddit.com/r/pop_os/comments.. The #reddit #comments are pretty funny, claiming it might be called " #kpopos " and instead of getting an #lts #release - it might be a #bts release!
It looks like #popos will switch to using their own #rust #windowmanager #desktop written in #rust rather than #gnome or #kde https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=n.. Good luck with that... The Rust #compiler is not even consistent or #stable ...

Generally seems like a good idea for #gnome to #cleanup their #design #ui https://blogs.gnome.org/alexm/2021/09/10..

Leaving #vlc running during suspend in #gnome #unity #ubuntu logs infinite errors to disk until it fills up. The solution is to delete the file using up all that disk space, which in this case means a simple `sudo rm /var/log/syslog`. Problem is, if the file is still in active use, the disk space doesn't get released: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3326..
