Ouch, it appears the #espressif #esp 32 has a #bluetooth #bug that allows #rce https://hackaday.com/2021/09/23/bluetoot.. I absolutely dread to think what is #vulnerable in their #wifi #stack !

Very cool #weather #station using an #espressif #esp 8266: https://hackaday.com/2021/08/23/nothing-.. In the future I want to build out a tonne of these little connected #iot devices with #displays - I imagine it could be an awesome way to get #notifications around your house for example, or control some global properties. They also offer a fair amount of #computation and could be even smarter given a chance to do some #distributed #computation !

I really like the idea of #minimalist #dumb #phones https://www.wsj.com/articles/minimalist-.. Something with a #keypad and an #esp 32 would be absolutely #ideal for me. It's a shame the #wiphone never really got to a price where I would be willing to buy it...

Insanely cool project driving 6 #vga #displays from a single #esp 32 ! https://hackaday.com/2021/08/18/running-.. It appears to use a #dma #buffer meaning that the main core(s) are left entirely free for other #computation !

Pretty cool to see the #esp 32 running the #linux #kernel https://www.cnx-software.com/2021/07/18/.. It's not yet #opensource or #documented in any way, and is all in #chinese , but it at least seems to be possible!

A great use for a #esp device: https://hackaday.com/2021/05/27/wifi-pen.. I suspect my network wouldn't hold up so well. I wonder whether it is possible to re-task an army of ESP8266/ESP32 devices to perform some interesting tasks that generally help people?
