I can see the argument for having #handles over #pointers https://floooh.github.io/2018/06/17/hand.. You look at something like #file #handles and they are pretty damn #reliable . There are negative points too, but generally I can see #stability and #speed being major #benefits to this design.

Okay, this #papertape #reader is pretty awesome! https://hackaday.com/2022/04/16/paper-ta.. In #theory it could be a way to get large amounts of high #reliable #memory for #storage !

Interesting, #pla 3D #printed #gears seems to be pretty #reliable when compared to something like #resin ! https://hackaday.com/2022/02/10/resin-pr..

Great #article on getting #reliable #interrupt #timing on a #microcontroller - in this case an #arduino https://escmdxi.wordpress.com/2022/01/05.. Very interesting indeed.

Apparently #ibm and #samsung have a new #transistor - but it is so far unclear exactly how it works: https://newsroom.ibm.com/2021-12-14-IBM-.. A lot of #hype around it though... We'll see if it plays out. Half of the problem is not the #design but the #reliable #manufacturing #process !

Some weird shit going down in #china - people are going for long periods without #electricity https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/millio.. It's even having an effect on #foreign #manufacturing - supposedly one of the massive attractive to #china ! https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/top-ap.. Huh, turns out #unstable #governments are not #reliable ! Weird!

Looks like #intel are now starting to #embrace the #chiplet #design #amd have been leading with for so long: https://www.eetimes.com/intel-brings-chi.. It was the right way to go all along, especially as #silicon #manufacturing is becoming less #reliable and #yields are much lower!
