*Note to self:* The #coffeespace #server running on #debian 8 was sneakily pre-loaded with a bunch of #ufw #firewall #rules that block access from different ports! It is possible to enable them manually though: https://unixcop.com/how-to-open-ports-in.. What a waste of an hour that was - me thinking I had done something wrong!

That said I have figured out how to #ban #ip addresses for example, and have various methods for blocking attacks.
