The #pine #community have been able to throw together a better replacement #firmware for the otherwise #closedsource #input device on the #pinebookpro - very impressive work!
The #tpm #module that the new #windows 11 requires that you have seems like a super pain in the arse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RW2zHvVO.. It essentially moves the #encryption problem around and I believe will just result to making #laptops and other #portable #devices be more #closedsource ... For example, tricking the #tpm into thinking it is running on a specific #configuration just moves the #goalposts towards #stateactors to hack into machines. A better solution is still required.
