As I already knew, #images are not #stored on the #blockchain - only some #metadata https://erickhun.com/posts/nft-misconcep.. But this could open up some interesting ideas for ultra small images that *could* be stored entirely, especially a #dataurl https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs.. I'm pretty sure you could get an #svg down to a pretty #affordable #price !

One of the really interesting parts is in initially displaying something for the end user to see whilst the rest of the data is loaded.
