The #analogy is pretty good with it being like an #email #system , where each #server is an #email #provider . You still end up getting #vendor #lockin though, like you do with #email . We need to keep looking towards better #decentralization methods.

Apparently this is on the basis that it is not #energy #efficient due to the use of #blockchain - I somewhat have to agree. *Anything* that relies on blockchain will eventually grow to an #unsustainable #size , #computation or both. #proofofwork is simply not going to cut it.
