I'm lucky I've never actually had to use the #service (most #articles in my subject can be found on #arxiv or via the #university #library #access ) - but I am glad the service exists. Knowledge *needs* to be shared. There must be a better way of doing this.
I really value #arxiv as a service, so it will be something I watch closely to see how their sustainability model affects the user base: https://blog.arxiv.org/2021/06/02/arxiv-.. I always self-host papers anyway, I don't think Universities and academics should forget about that possibility.
