This is a new thing I am starting - a monthly blog about what has happened, and what is going to happen in my life. There will be quite a tech-esque tint to these, but there will also be a lot of non-tech items, so it makes sense to be detailed here.
Note: I did try to start this last month, but things got very much in the way.
Recap
In the past month, I did the following:
Won another year after a leadership election for a RoboCup team. All going well, we will be competing in South Korea next year.
Tested a 3D printed aluminium part against a 3D printed steel part. The steel part was 47g and the aluminium part was 13g, it appears that building robot parts from aluminium could be feasible.
Applied for funding to start a humanoid robotics company with UKRI. After the unmitigated success of the Booster robot platform there is no reason for the UK not to compete in this space. I find out if my application (written in just 5 hours before the deadline) was successful on the 12th September.
