Just finishing #watching #netflix 's 2017 #deathnote , and it really doesn't do the #original #anime any #justice at all. The #original #anime was like a game of #chess being played out by #kira and L, but they completely #fail to capture this. It really should have been a #tv #series . It's really amazing that they messed up such a deep and interesting #ip .
The #film #deathnote #relight #visionsofgod was just a re-hash of the #tv #series which somebody on the outside could barely follow if they hadn't watched it. Disappointing really. There is still #lssuccessors - but I am not sure it will be any better.
