Just saw this #article about writing a #printer #driver in #javascript https://kubesail.com/blog/2022-02-01-pri.. I always wanted to play with a #thermal #printer but never had an excuse - but I just thought of one. I could really improve the #business #process of a family member by printing #qr #codes to help them #track #products and #parcels !
Unfortunately a #water #battery is not nearly good enough for #powering a #home https://hackaday.com/2021/10/08/power-yo.. It's essentially a #mass based battery - in terms of #mass by #volume there are likely more efficient designs. If it also doubled up as a #thermal #mass it might be more interesting...
Very cool #arduino #library to interact with #thermal #printers https://hackaday.com/2021/09/21/mini-wir.. I really want to use one of these, but just can't quite think of the #usecase ... Perhaps it could #print something #daily , like some #information #dump - or the results of a #simulation , or #server #performance , etc. Also could be used for printing a daily #todo list at the start of each day.
