I have a similar story to this #tech guy who refused to support his family's non- #linux #devices http://misc-stuff.terraaeon.com/articles.. A while back I was pleasantly #surprised to see my #family 's #desktop #windows running #libreoffice ! I said "awesome, you are supporting #opensource #software !", to which they replied "I don't know, you installed it on there!" - I had forgotten! But they continued to keep using it, even calling it " #office "!

What's really funny though is that my #family 's #business use #libreoffice to process their #finances , etc. They send #calc ( #excel ) #ods #documents over to some external third party who then processes it and submits it for them to keep the #books ... They initially had tonnes of trouble opening the document (I had no idea about this) and then they ended up download Libre Office themselves to convert it. So because of some random actions years ago, two more machines now run #opensource - awesome!
