Interesting - apparently #ethopia is likely to have another #internet #shutdown pretty soon and people are asking about how to #maintain some form of #internet #connection https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=291.. Apparently it is very much still possible to perform #dialup over a #voice #call with a very low #bitrate ... That #bitrate is also #comparable to #lora - just saying. One could imagine a stripped out #mesh for small #internet #messages ... Like #lorachan for example ...
