I got #downvoted for this #comment on #hackernews (before the #link got #flagged anyway) regarding the #myanmar situation, but I have good #sources to back the information: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=278.. Currently it is believed that 10-15 million people could be killed within the next few weeks over there, in a population of approximately 60 million people. The number is a little high, but I suspect a million could be possible.

The article itself goes from a #myanmar update to an anti #us #propaganda piece, so I'm not so sure how seriously it should be taken. But hearing from first hand accounts, the situation over there is pretty bad.
