I can see the argument for having #handles over #pointers https://floooh.github.io/2018/06/17/hand.. You look at something like #file #handles and they are pretty damn #reliable . There are negative points too, but generally I can see #stability and #speed being major #benefits to this design.

I know I #complain about this often, but #ubuntu becomes less and less #stable every time I use it. A #desktop not being #upgraded should just run indefinitely, yet the other day mine #crashed for no apparent reason. I doubt it is the #hardware because I see the same lack of #stability in other machines also running #ubuntu . #ubuntu is a blite on #linux .

Yeah, I suspect #blackouts in the #us will not bode well for #biden 's #election in 2024: https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/power-.. Pretty insane to see the #us go through such a thing, given that only a few years ago they were all about #energy #stability .

Interesting #youtube #video by #veritasium on #bicycle #stability https://youtube.com/watch?v=9cNmUNHSBac I really suspect this is why we see #learner #drivers take a small #opposite #turn before making a full turn - a #habit they have to break from #learning to #ride a #bike !

I'm still not #convinced to give up on #cpp in favour of #rust https://pvs-studio.com/en/blog/posts/073.. The first thing #rust needs to do is show some #compiler and #language #stability . Secondly, it needs to actually prove its claims! #abstraction does not mean #speed , #safety or #memory #efficiency !

Well, #china 's #ccp is likely shitting little tiny pellets right now. Since the 13th of September, their #economy has shrunk by 4.2%. Unless it picks up soon (which is still possible), their options become very limited. They will likely be forced to #decouple their economy to return #market #stability ... But in the long run that's going to be bad.

Having quite a bit of #oom #program killing due to the new #ram #limitations of the new #coffeespace #server - especially during #article #building ... Apparently 128 MB of RAM isn't much!
Seem to now have *some* #stability on the #coffeespace #server - at least it isn't #crashing every 5 seconds now. Time to cancel the older server I think...
