Interesting, #mips are making better #progress in the #riscv space: https://www.mips.com/ Maybe they could have a comeback, maybe not. We'll have to keep an eye on it. The most important thing will be getting #linux #support and getting some #dev #boards out there. MIPS used to be massive in the #router space.

A pretty cool #script for creating a #linux #router https://github.com/garywill/linux-router I really wish I had just used a #raspberrypi way-back-when instead of #buying a #closedsource #router that is now dangerously out of date.

Interesting, I also had thought previously about using a #raspberrypi running #openwrt - or even just #debian #linux as a #router https://cheapskatesguide.org/articles/ra.. Seems to be working quite well. It's really impressive that #openwrt will run on as low as 8MB of disk space and 32MB of RAM!

This makes me want to switch to a #softap #wifi #router https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/05/.. The inability to now patch these bugs is pretty damning. These are very serious bugs too. DNS injection is a *massive* problem.
