So #paypal have now decided to #shutdown the #accounts of the #freespeechunion - for defending people's #speech https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/pay.. The #founder also had his #personal #account #money *taken* with not method to #withdraw . It appears as though an #snp #mp is justifying #paypal 's actions...

Hmm, #paypal have apparently partnered with the #adl to 'fight #extremism ': https://www.lotuseaters.com/anti-defamat.. It seems like an overreach for a glorified #bank - a service that people *need* in order to be able to survive. In the past prominent figures such a #tommyrobinson have entirely lost *all* access to banking, apparently in modern times some opinion mean you lose the right to use money, despite not being imprisoned.
#paypal are about to increase their fees, probably in part to pay for #research #collaboration with the #adl https://lowendbox.com/blog/paypal-rates-.. It's really quite concerning when their #goal is to limit access to #banking to people with certain #politcal views - a form of #censorship[ within its own right.

#paypal have just announced a price increase for their services in the #us https://newsroom.paypal-corp.com/2021-06.. They did exactly the same to the #uk not so long ago. Their 'Why are we making this change?' section completely fails to answer the question it itself addresses. I will expect to see this for other services too. Interesting, it now makes #stripe a much cheaper payment option.
